Clothes Express the Person

Students reveal their personalities

Fashion was a way to say who someone was without having to speak. Teenagers always dressed the way they wanted to whether it was in or not.

“I think fashion is important because it expresses a person’s personality and who they are,” said Kiana Riggs, 11.

Fashion was a statement, not a style. Fashion could be casual not always runway. It was fit for all people all ages everywhere. It was personal creativity.

“I think the way you dress is another way to express yourself just like art,” said Kaitlyn Newton, 10.

It didn’t matter where students shopped. Everyone had their own store, their own style.

“I like to get my clothes from thrift stores because I like the vintage look,” said Kristen Berry, 11.

Little things made a huge difference to an outfit. It used be purses and shoes that had to be a perfect match with clothing but phone cases seemed to be the new trend of expression.

“When I go to buy a phone case, I pick one out that shows who I am and shows what I like,” said Bailey Richmond, 12.
