Pom and Cheer show school spirit
Their blood was pumping, the adrenaline was rushing and the crowd’s eyes were on them.
The Dance Team took the field to perform their halftime show.
“My future goals for this team is to go to Florida and win nationals,” Deanne Dela Paz, 10, said.
The Dance Team took the floor at their state competition in Oklahoma City and became 1st runners up in the 5A hip-hop category.
“My favorite part about competitions is going out and performing as hard as I can,” Bethany Worthington, 10, said.
Cheer’s year was just as successful. The cheer team seniors went to All Region cheer tryouts and came back with an All Region cheerleader, Mikayla Corn, 12. “My best memory of the Cheer Team was going to eat before a game as a team,” Corn said.
