Heritage Elementary

Heritage Elementary is having a great year already! Over 500 students walk through the front doors of our Great Expectations Model School every day. Between book fair, Jog-a-thon, conferences, and community events, the next few months will prove to be busy.

We want to invite you to visit the school and your children’s teachers during parent/teacher conferences on October 1st from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Oct. 2nd from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. These conferences are a great time for you to discuss how your child is doing at Heritage and for you to see if there are ways you can help Heritage be the most successful school it can be.

October 9th is our annual Jog-a-thon. Students are already getting pumped up to run. We are so excited to get this opportunity to raise money for our building. Last year the students raised around $15,000 for this school and we hope to do even better this year!

We will wrap up October with a Community Hero Night on Oct. 22nd from 5:30-7:00. The first 200 people to arrive will get a free hotdog, bag of chips, and a drink. Teachers, staff, and administration will be joined by local heroes from right here in Cherokee County:   Highway Patrol, local police, School Resource Officers, Lake Patrol, Firefighters, ATF agents, etc. This night is our chance to recognize the efforts of these brave men and women.

Finally, we would like to thank Tahlequah Orthopedic Surgery Services for their generous donation to Heritage Elementary.  Our kids and teachers are lucky to have wonderful support from this local business.

Thank you to all of our families for your continued support.  We are here to serve our students and it makes it so wonderful when we can work together!
