Tahlequah High School

The school year at Tahlequah High School has cruised by at a supersonic speed.  Our Tigers have soared to incredible new heights.   Spring time is also a very busy time for all of our Tigers.

The senior class of 2016 is preparing for their graduation and moving into the next phase of their life.  THS is very proud of all of the accomplishments these seniors have attained.  We have three Gates Millennium Scholars.  They are Noah Clemons, Lydian Fite, and Miriam Reed.  THS senior athletes have garnered numerous athletic scholarships this year as well.  Most of our seniors will be attending college, career tech, or entering the workforce.

The underclassmen are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel having completed EOI tests and preparing for their semester finals.  We look forward to working with next year’s future student leaders of THS.

Spring sports are having a successful year with baseball, soccer, tennis, softball, golf, and track all competing at very high levels.   The STUNT team competed and had a very successful season.

Big Fish, the THS musical was a huge success and entertained the entire community.  The Orange Express has had a banner year and received many awards for the program and for individual members.  The Choir traveled to Nashville for a music education trip and recorded in the famous Studio “B”.

Our broadcasting class did an outstanding job of creating Tahlequah Tiger TV programs that broadcasted many school events online.  The Vo-Ag students have been working hard with many different types of projects.  Our Career Tech program has new state of the art “Sprout” computers to use and create projects.  JROTC has been involved in many activities - hosting Blood Drives and a 5K run at the THS track.  The Science Club took an educational trip to Sea World in San Antonio.

Several art students have received prestigious awards for their talented projects.  Robert Nofire won 1st in drawing and 1st overall  at the Congressional Art Show at NSU Muskogee, and a free trip to Washington D.C. along with a $1000.00 scholarship for NSU.  The Academic Team has had an excellent year placing 3rd at state.

THS has the best students, faculty and staff in the state!  Their strong positive school climate radiates among all of our patrons.  THS Tigers will continue to work to be the very best high school in Oklahoma.  The school year has flown by at an incredible pace because the Tahlequah High School Tigers ROAR!
