Tahlequah High School
The Tigers are ROARING this year at THS! We have added a Biomed class, after school Spanish class, and the Engineering II class to enhance our student’s opportunities to compete in college and the global work force.
We continue to grow with twenty-five more students than last year at the start of school, and even with the state budget cuts, we are still able to offer a variety of high quality classes, activities, athletics, and programs.
Our school building has been upgraded with new roofing, repaired concrete patios, cost savings climate control measures, and many other building enhancements.
The Tiger football team is competing at a high level in a very tough district. Tiger softball is also off to a good start and in the thick of their district championship. Tiger Volleyball is working hard to win games and tournaments. Cross Country is competing in both Oklahoma and Arkansas. The Orange Express has been practicing every morning so that they can entertain everyone at halftime and be successful at their band contests.
Our choir and theater arts program students are preparing for another outstanding year entertaining all of our patrons with concerts, plays, and musicals. Be sure to attend the Homecoming Football Game on September 30 for a special treat from all TPS Choir students in grades 3-12.
We are starting a “Tiger Bistro” so that our career tech students can get hands on experiences of operating a café/school store. We hope to offer nutritional snacks, coffee, school supplies, gifts, and t-shirts to our students and a place to meet and socialize.
We have our Fall Pep Assembly coming up soon to recognize all of our athletes, band, cheerleaders, and our Tahlequah Tiger TV Crew. It is great to see how much enthusiasm and excitement the students, parents, and community have supporting all of our Tigers!
THS has dynamic and extremely talented students and teachers that create a positive school climate! Good things are happening at THS and we encourage all of the community to come take part and be involved.
With our high academic standards, numerous activities, and competitive athletics:
It’s Good to be a Tiger!
