Tahlequah Athletics Fall sports has had a great start to the 2016-2017 school year. The softball team finished the year regional runner up with a 24-14 record for the young team.
Jaden Hall was recently selected All Region cheer and will compete for All State honors on November 8th.
The Football team is having another great season and are sitting at the top of 5A-4. With a win against Bishop Kelley on November 4, the Tigers can secure their first district title since 1991.
The Boys Cross Country team finished last weekend as regional Champions at O’Brien Park in Tulsa and were 5A Boys State Runners-up. The girls team also qualified for the state meet held on the campus of Edmond Santa Fe the same day.
The athletic department is excited to continue to stream athletic events on www.tahlequahtigers.tv. This allows all of our parents, fans, and patrons to watch most athletic events from their home computers free of charge. This is a student-led broadcast that the kids have taken great pride in thus far.

It has been a very busy and successful year for Tahlequah Athletics. As we transition into the winter, basketball and wrestling are preparing for their respective seasons with much anticipation. Rickey Bruner and David Qualls return to head the boys and girls basketball programs again this year with 1st year head coach Travis Kirby leading the Tiger Wrestling program.
The Athletic Department is busy preparing for the 3rd Annual Tahlequah Athletics Hall of Fame banquet, which will take place January 28th on the high school campus. Last year’s event drew more than 250 guests to this event. Nominations are due December 1.
