Tahlequah High School
Excitement for this school year is at an all-time high. Students now have the Crossroads Café for excellent meals with numerous choices each day. The Tigers Den will offer fresh made grill items and smoothies along with coffee in the mornings. Our staff have great big hearts of love for all of our students and have welcomed them back for another great rigorous education adventure.
Tahlequah High School is a destination place for our students, teachers, parents, and community. It is great to be a Tiger! We offer so many different activities that every student can find their niche and be a part of our Tiger school life. We offer STEM classes in Engineering and Biomedical as well as AP classes in English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. THS students are challenged to work hard and learn more each and every day.
Our Athletic Department has raised the bar with great coaches who help our athletes compete at very high levels. The success of Tiger athletics has been on the rise each year and will continue to get even better.
THS has one of the best Fine Arts departments in the state. Whether it be in band, choir, theater, or art - our students are extremely talented and continue to win contests and titles.
The Career Technology department is developing our students’ skills to be leaders on the cutting edge of technology and industry. Business Professional of America (BPA) and Family and Consumer Sciences (FCCLA) both develop leadership skills and provide hands on activities. Many students attend ICTC to further their skills in the working world.
THS has tremendous opportunities for students to develop and exhibit their leadership skills through Student Council and National Honor Society. JROTC develops our students into leaders in many different areas. JROTC sponsors blood drives at the high school and presents the colors at numerous functions. These groups help to make decisions that drive the student body towards success.
THS has an Encore period from 8:00 am to 8:25 am every morning to help tutor students who are struggling and allows time for teachers to join in PLC groups. We are focusing on increasing attendance this year as students who attend regularly are more successful. Students may miss no more than three days to be exempt from their finals.
Communication is the key to having a successful year. The teachers and administrators at THS want you to be a part of our great school community. Be involved in your child’s education and help make THS the Best! Go Tigers!
