Tahlequah High School

As the end of the school years nears, students, teachers, and parents have experienced extraordinary times at Tahlequah High School.   It has been an outstanding school year at THS!

Our teachers moved their classroom to the Capitol in OKC to teach the legislators what educating our children is really about and what funding is really required.  Our students and the community supported their teachers and will finish the year strong and on a positive note.

We will continue to make sure our students do not miss any of the once-in-a-lifetime events that occur during high school.  The 2018 Prom, Under the Light of the Moon, was a huge success.  The students came dressed in beautiful dresses and outfits.  They danced the night away and conducted themselves with grace.

During the work stoppage, 205 THS juniors came to school and took the state required ACT test.  This is one example of how awesome our Tigers are at THS!

Graduation is just around the corner as we will have the ceremony at Doc Wadley Stadium on Friday, May 18th at 7:00 pm.  THS students have been very successful this year in many different endeavors.  Our Academic Team, Math Team, Athletic Teams, Fine Arts, and many other activity clubs and groups have all achieved great things.

Congratulations to the THS 2017-2018 Senior graduation class!  This group of seniors are special and extremely talented.  They will be attending college all over Oklahoma and the U.S. using almost $5 million in scholarships.

The staff and students at THS have worked hard all year to create a positive climate focusing on kindness to others.  The student council held a “Spark Week” where students performed acts of random kindness.  The school has been decorated with positive quotes and the “All Activities” mural is very close to being finished.  The mural depicts all of the clubs, organizations, and athletic teams offered at THS.

All of our THS Tigers will continue to (ROAR) Remove Obstacles and Achieve Results during these extraordinary times and we must remember that our “Students” are always our most important asset.  We must continue to advocate for public education funding and never lose sight of our purpose – teaching and caring for our future.

THS Core Values - Tigers will be – Studious, Respectful to Others, Proud to be a Tiger, Positive, and Caring.

Go Tigers!
