School Back in Session
This is a message from Lisa Presley, Superintendent of Tahlequah Public Schools notifying patrons that Tahlequah Public Schools will be back in session on Monday, April 16. School will begin at the regular start time for the remainder of the school year due to the cancellation of Late Start Mondays. Start time for Sequoyah Elementary is at 8 AM; the start time for the elementary and middle school sites is 8:10; and the start time for the high school is at 8:05.
The school calendar has been adjusted to reflect the time lost due to the Work Stoppage. A revised calendar will be posted soon to the TPS website to reflect changes that have been made for the remainder of the school year.
For example, Late Start Mondays have been cancelled to make up time in the school calendar. An evening Parent Teacher Conference has been rescheduled for Thursday, May 3 from 4-7 PM for all school sites. The last day of school for students will now be Tuesday, May 22 and for staff on May 23. (The high school graduation date has not changed and will still be held on Friday, May 18.)
We cannot thank our community enough for the tremendous support over the past two weeks! And again, thank you for your patience! We can’t wait for the return of our students and to get back to school!
