Sequoyah Pre-K has had a great start to the school year!  We had a wonderful Open House with 133 families showing up to tour the school and meet the teachers.  Our staff has been working hard to create positive relationships with students and families.  Students are greeted at the door daily by multiple staff members, as they enter the building and throughout the day.

We have a couple of new faces at Sequoyah Pre-K this year.  Natasha McIntosh is our school counselor and Taylor Perry is our Speech Pathologist.  We are very excited for them to join our team as they have already made a huge impact on our students.

August flew by so fast!  Teachers have been working with the students on creating classroom families, school expectations, and social-emotional skills.  Students are learning how to play cooperatively through centers in the classroom and lots of outside time.

We had a Parent night in September to go along with our Book Fair and Parent/Teacher conferences.   This month, our students will walk to the fire station.  The firemen will give us a tour of the station and teach us about fire safety.  We will also get to check out the fire truck!  Parents are welcome to join us if they have filled out a volunteer form.

On October 27th, we will have our Halloween Parade.  This is the day students will wear their costumes to school and “parade” around while collecting candy from friends and families.  It is such a fun time for students and families!

Lots of fun and lots of learning are happening around here every day!  We invite you to check out our Facebook page or just come by to see all the good things going on at Sequoyah Pre-K!
