Hello Tahlequah Tiger Family!
As students at TPS prepare for the 2024-2025 school year, families will be able check breakfast and lunch off their list! We partnered with Chartwells K12 as the new foodservice provider that will begin serving students on August 15th. We’re excited for our new partnership and introducing Chartwells to our students and community! The Chartwells Team was able to attend a board meeting on July 23rd to give a sneak peek of the offerings that will be in place for our students this year.
What can kids look forward to in the cafeteria this year? Lots of happy and healthy! Thanks to our new partnership with Chartwells K12, students will experience a variety of new menu items for breakfast and lunch. Not to mention, for the school year 2024/2025 all students will eat for FREE thanks to our school district qualifying for the Community Eligibility Program. We are looking forward to a wonderful partnership and serving up happy and healthy to all of our students!

We are excited to announce that we have the opportunity to work with Cherokee Nation on the Summer Nutrition EBT program. Households that meet income requirements for Free/Reduced meals qualify to participate with USDA Summer Nutrition Program operated by Cherokee Nation Public Health. As a school district we will be sharing student data verification with the Cherokee Nation agency with your permission. This program provides households with $40 for three months ($120 total) in nutritional food during the summer months when school is not in session. To be eligible, students must be on the free or reduced lunch program. Students DO NOT have to be tribal members.
